What changed
RV Mobile Internet reported on July 28, 2026 that the Standard kit was back as an option for new Roam orders on starlink.com, at $349. Per the report, it had been removed from Roam orders on July 1, 2026, which left the Mini as the only kit offered with a new Roam plan for most of July.
The same report said Starlink added an installment option for the Mini: $16 a month for 12 months at 0% APR, $192 in total, against a $199 upfront price at the time. The report said you could change plans or use Standby Mode without paying off the balance early, but cancelling service makes the remaining balance due right away.
“The installment option adds up to $192, making it $7 cheaper than purchasing the Mini upright at the current $199 price.” (RV Mobile Internet, July 28, 2026)
Kit prices have moved since then. Our checked data now shows different Mini numbers; see “Today’s values” below.
Who is affected
- New Roam buyers who want the bigger dish. The Standard has a wider set of mount options for RV roofs and poles, and Starlink lists it among the dishes it supports for in-motion use.
- People who already ordered a Mini in July because it was the only choice. Nothing changes for them; the Mini works on every Roam plan.
What it means for you
If you plan a permanent roof mount, or you want the dish that draws more power but has a larger antenna, the Standard is an option again when you order Roam on starlink.com. Before you buy a mount, confirm which Standard version the order page shows, because mounts fit specific models. Our mount options guide covers the choices, and the driving guide lists which dishes Starlink supports in motion.
For what the kit adds to your first year, see RV internet cost per month.
What stays the same
- Roam plan prices, data allowances and in-motion rules did not change with this report.
- Both dishes still need a monthly service plan.
How we handled this report

What we don’t know yet
- Why the Standard kit was pulled on July 1. The report does not give a reason from Starlink.
- Whether it could disappear from Roam orders again. Kit options on starlink.com have changed several times in 2026.
- Which Standard version ships with a Roam order today. The report names the Standard 4 X; check the order page before you buy a mount.
