About this site
An independent travel-internet desk for RVers, van-lifers and boaters: a plan picker and a dated record of rule changes.
Updated US only. Not tested on the road by us.
Who runs it
Owner details are being added before launch. We won’t publish a name or bio that isn’t real.
The owner is a Starlink Residential customer at home in the US. They have not used Starlink in an RV, van or boat, or on a Roam or Mini plan. Nothing on this site claims road testing, because there hasn’t been any.
What the guidance is built on
- Starlink’s own documents: the help-center articles and the public order data that the starlink.com order page shows, each with the date we read it.
- Dated news and reports, cited and linked, labeled “reported” when they don’t come from Starlink.
- Owner-run tests only where a home setup gives a valid answer, such as how much data an hour of streaming uses. Planned tests are marked as planned, with no results until they exist.
Every article carries a label: research and spec-based analysis or owner-run test. How we work: how we research and test.
Independence
Starlink and Roam are trademarks of Space Exploration Technologies Corp. Starlink RV USA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SpaceX or Starlink. We don’t use Starlink logos, product photos or look-alike design. The same owner runs a few related sites about other Starlink topics; where we link to one, it’s marked and nofollowed.
