Cellular, Wi-Fi and satellite
Satellite is one piece. Most travelers end up with two connections and a router that picks between them.
Quick answer
Start with how much data you use, then ask where you camp. Good cell signal and short trips: a hotspot. Remote camps or heavy use: satellite. Working on the road: both, with a router that switches when one drops.
