Price table: Roam 100GB $50 to $55; Roam 300GB $80, unchanged; Roam Unlimited $165 to $175. New customers from May 16, 2026; existing customers on bills from June 18, 2026.

What changed

RV Mobile Internet reported on May 16, 2026 that Starlink was raising prices on its Roam, Residential and Standby plans. For Roam:

Plan Before After
Roam 100GB $50/mo $55/mo
Roam 300GB $80/mo $80/mo (no change)
Roam Unlimited $165/mo $175/mo

New customers paid the new prices right away, from May 16. Existing customers moved to them starting with their next bill on or after June 18, 2026. That second date is when many travelers actually saw the change, which is why we posted on it.

The report quotes Starlink’s explanation: “Strong demand for Starlink reflects the value customers continue to see in the service.”

Residential prices rose at the same time (for example, Residential 100 Mbps from $50 to $55), and Standby Mode doubled from $5 to $10. We cover Standby in its own article.

Who is affected

  • Weekend and seasonal campers on Roam 100GB: $5 more a month, or $60 more a year if you keep the plan all year.
  • Full-timers on Roam Unlimited: $10 more a month, or $120 a year.
  • Roam 300GB users: no change. That makes the gap between 100GB and 300GB smaller than it was.

What it means for you

The increases are modest on their own, but they change a few decisions:

  1. 100GB vs 300GB. With 100GB at $55 and 300GB at $80, the step up is now $25 for three times the data. If you often run out mid-month, 300GB may be the better buy. Our 100GB vs 300GB guide shows how many days each lasts.
  2. Unlimited vs 300GB. Many travelers paid for Unlimited only to avoid running out. If you stay inside the US and Canada and use less than 300GB, 300GB is now $95 a month cheaper.
  3. Pausing vs keeping service. Standby also went up, so keeping a dish paused between trips costs more. Re-run the plan picker to see whether pausing or cancelling is now the cheaper habit for your trips.

Our cost per month guide shows yearly totals at today’s prices.

What stays the same

  • Data allowances didn’t change: 100GB and 300GB, then unlimited low-speed data for the rest of the month.
  • In-motion use and coverage rules didn’t change with the price rise.
  • Kit prices are separate and were not part of this change.
