What changed
RV Mobile Internet reported on September 11, 2026 that MobileMustHave simplified RoamLink Connect, a package that pairs eligible RoamLink cellular data plans with a preconfigured Peplink router. Two options replaced the earlier offers:
- Buy at a discount: about $200 off the router’s normal price, with a 12-month RoamLink Connect contract and a $199 early termination fee.
- Rent: $10 to $29 a month, depending on the device and availability, month to month. Per the report, rentals include the warranty, advance replacement and 24/7 support while the subscription is active.
The report says plans generally start with RoamLink’s Flex 50 plan.
Who is affected
- RVers shopping for a cellular router to sit next to Starlink, especially seasonal travelers who don’t want to buy hardware outright.
- Existing RoamLink customers looking at a hardware upgrade.
What it means for you
Renting can make sense for a season or two on the road, or while you work out whether you need a router at all. Over a long time, buying usually costs less; do the math for the months you’ll actually use it, and count the contract and fee if you take the discount.
A Peplink router is one way to run cellular and Starlink as two links with automatic failover. Our failover guide explains how the switch works, and the router guide compares setups. If you’re still deciding whether you need satellite at all, start with RV internet options compared.
What stays the same
- Nothing about Starlink plans or prices changes with this.
- A router doesn’t add data: what goes over Starlink still counts against a capped Roam plan.
How we handled this report
The prices and terms come from a press report, so we label them reported. We have no business relationship with MobileMustHave or RoamLink and have not tested the service.
